PropTech advocates face an uphill battle in selling, implementing and operating new technology-based solutions. This talk reviews some of those obstacles and what we can do to surmount them. Examples range from fitting SaaS solutions into traditional design/build contracts to managing IoT solutions to selling technology solutions across multiple siloed departments. Viewers will come away with a greater appreciation for the value of innovation teams within property developers/managers, the need for technology providers to do more to make things easy for their clients, and the possibility that great projects can turn into white elephants.
