Out of the need to stay safe and to guarantee security in times of crisis and disasters, certain types of rooms have been considered and integrated into real estate. One of this key type of rooms is known as the Panic room, it can also be tagged as the Safe room in some cases. When it comes to PropTech, you will be intrigued to know how different technologies have been utilized in carving out these rooms from scratch. Interestingly these rooms have also traveled through time and seasons of human existence, as such, it takes very deep interest to know what a modern panic room, would look like and the evolving technologies adapted. For my session, I will be honoured to take us all through this journey of enlightenment and also take a deep dive towards the importance of having Panic Rooms in buildings in order to promote resilience.
