Session Description
With multiple data formats and standards in use across the world, we need a single. common standard to allow all these different systems to communicate, share, and transfer structured and unstructured data on land, property, real estate and infrastructure assets. To provide a full digital picture of a real estate asset requires data to be assembled and accessed from multiple data sets maintained by different private and public market participants. The RDS supports a range of RICS and international standards covering property measurement, valuation, due diligence, life-cycle costing, brokerage, leasing, and building surveying. This session will explore the scope and depth of the RDS and show how it can act as a bridge to support interoperability between differing systems and data sets:
