The term BIM has been around since the 1980s. The big players in the construction industry have been dealing with this topic from the very beginning. Unfortunately for the majority of the real estate industry, BIM still seems to be a mystery. Despite the advancing digitalisation through the whole value chain, we still see a lot of printed plans and insufficient processes, although in general, the industry has come to the conclusion that BIM could improve this situation significantly, property companies struggle to implement this methodology on a broader scope. We at PROPSTER are also repeatedly confronted with this topic, and we are aware of our role, providing our customers with a practice-oriented BIM approach through our product.
